Where nature is all around you
Thank you for visiting our farm online. Higher Bumsley is a small hill farm in the Exmoor National Park. It's set amidst green rolling hills where wildlife roams freely and nature is all around you.
Higher Bumsley Farm - An Introduction
For many years Higher Bumsley was a traditional hill farm with cattle and sheep, and in recent years has become an Environmental Farm with a small herd of wild Exmoor ponies, chickens , ducks, and geese. This was enabled due to the fact that the farm has never been commercially fertilized and naturally supports habitats for wildlife and wild flowers.
Open all year for farm visits
Situated in the beautiful Heddon valley on the banks of the river Heddon we are open all year round.
We actively encourage wildlife on our farm and with a SSSI woodland, ancient hedgerows, rare butterfly species and a small lake, there is lots to see at Higher Bumsley. Read more about the farm.
